A Couple Good Days

Loneliness won't last forever

Sometimes the people we need in our life find us, and they may not be our life very long at all. But someone we need can make at big impact with only a very short time with us.

A Good Night

Oct 25

Today started out rough, really rough. I wrote about waking up in a Rage this morning, but I got to go to my talk therapy and then EMDR today. Those helped, a bit.

Then I got approved for Uber to drive people, finally. Oh, and I decided to pull The trigger on hiring a designer to get my blog logo in order, and I hired a Brizy developer to fix my header problem! $200 well spent, until I wish I had more money at some point and regret it like I always do, for a while, until I focus on the future and not the past.

Tonight while driving Uber for the first time in 5+ years I was having an okay time. I did yell at one point in between rides, to finally get myself to cry. At one point I yelled no several times. But then the night ended with me taking this woman home, I forget her name, but she just broke up with her ex a month before me. They were also in an abusive relationship, and were together 14 years! They weren’t married, but it was the first empathic conversation I’ve had in probably years that hit me that deep. It was exactly what I needed, and have been craving since my divorce started.

So yeah, good day overall. And an amazing ending to the night. And I decided to get my usual at TGI Fridays and got to have a good conversation with the blonde bartender.

I took a shower and went out to do some Uber. That turned out to be the best thing I’ve done in a long time.

Another Good Day

Oct 27

Today didn’t start out amazing. I felt like I was stuck with the same cough I went to bed with. My sunburn still hurt. My hand is, well, it’s still broken. I got angry again shortly after waking up. And my toe still hurt from the blood blister I got from the day before on my walk.

I had a hard time focusing, and I wanted to do school work but didn’t get to anything but bring my textbook. I ended up pretty much just watching a show and doing a little bit of journaling.

After still not finding any motivation to do school, I took a shower and went out to do some Uber. That turned out to be the best thing I’ve done in a long time. The second gig I took didn’t pay great, but I figured maybe the tip might be good. I drove up to the golf course and and picked up this young guy, and before you knew it we were talking about Amazon because he works there. We had a great convo and connected a lot, he asked for my number because he wanted to help me get a job at Amazon. I’m freaking stoked for this opportunity, and I will do everything in my power to get it.

Check out where this goes next!
